LAFAYETTE, Ind. — James Brian Chadwell II — the person accused of abducting and assaulting a 9-12 months-previous girl — lost a combat Wednesday night within his jail cell, in accordance to Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Place of work.

Chadwell, 42, and another inmate, Quentin Jackson Jr., 25, got into a combat about 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Chadwell obtained small accidents to his face and was dealt with by the jail health-related team, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies investigated the battle, and the case will be sent to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Workplace for overview and doable fees.

Jackson, who is suspected of owning nude pictures of his 17-yr-outdated girlfriend on his mobile phone, had been booked into the jail about an hour right before the struggle, in accordance to jail documents.

Chadwell had been in jail given that April 19, when police found a 9-year-outdated woman bare and beaten in his basement at 714 Park Ave., in accordance to prosecutors, who billed him with tried murder, child molesting, attempted little one molesting, kidnapping, felony confinement, battery resulting in serious bodily injury and strangulation.

Prosecutors also submitted a sentence-boosting cost of becoming an recurring offender, which, if responsible, could increase involving 6 and 20 years to Chadwell’s sentence.

The lady had been reported missing by her mom and dad about 7 p.m. April 19. She’d been missing about 30 minutes.

A knock on Chadwell’s doorway by police officers interrupted his sexual assault of the girl he experienced locked in his basement, forcing him to swiftly gown and answer the doorway, in accordance to prosecutors.

Chadwell lured the lady into his household so she could pet his canine, but as soon as inside, he commenced hitting her and strangling her, prosecutors explained in the possible trigger affidavit.

She had bruises to her head, arms and legs. She also had strangulation marks on her neck and doggy bite marks on her leg, in accordance to prosecutors.
